Via Cibo

Overview

If you’re on the hunt for a place that combines both quality and comfort, Via Cibo should be at the top of your list. Located at 7929 11 St SE Unit #2, Calgary, AB T2H 0B8, Canada, this cozy spot is a gem for anyone craving delicious, casual Italian food with a twist. Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or planning a laid-back evening out with friends, Via Cibo delivers on all fronts: fresh ingredients, mouthwatering dishes, and a relaxed atmosphere.

As soon as you walk in, the welcoming vibe of the restaurant hits you. The decor is modern yet simple, with a mix of contemporary touches and comforting, rustic elements. It’s the perfect blend of casual dining and a touch of elegance, making it ideal for both a casual lunch and a special dinner. What truly sets this place apart, however, is its menu, which takes traditional Italian dishes and elevates them with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Take their pizzas, for instance. The crust is always perfectly crispy, while the toppings are always fresh. They have a wide variety to choose from, so whether you're a fan of classic margherita or more adventurous combinations like spicy salami with honey, there's something for everyone. One standout item is their signature "Via Cibo" pizza, topped with an incredible blend of mozzarella, Italian sausage, and roasted vegetables, creating a balanced, flavorful bite every time.

In addition to pizzas, the pasta dishes are another reason why locals rave about this place. The house-made pastas are rich and flavorful, and it’s easy to tell that they’re made with care. The Bolognese is a crowd favorite, featuring tender beef and pork slow-cooked in a rich tomato sauce, served over perfectly cooked pasta. It’s the kind of dish that feels like it was made just for you, and the portion sizes are generous enough to satisfy any appetite.

For those who want to dive into something a little different, their wood-fired paninis are a delicious option, packed with fresh ingredients and served warm. The turkey and pesto panini is a popular choice, with perfectly melted cheese and just the right balance of flavors. The paninis pair perfectly with a refreshing glass of wine or an Italian soda, making it an excellent choice for a casual yet satisfying meal.

Let’s talk about dessert. If you’re someone who can’t leave a restaurant without indulging in something sweet, Via Cibo won’t disappoint. Their tiramisu is a classic favorite, with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and a dusting of cocoa powder. It’s rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. For something a little lighter, the lemon sorbet is a refreshing way to end the meal, offering a clean, tangy finish.

Via Cibo also prides itself on offering gluten-free and vegetarian options, making it a fantastic choice for anyone with dietary restrictions. Their menu caters to various tastes without compromising on flavor, so whether you're a meat lover, a vegetarian, or someone looking for a gluten-free meal, you can find something that hits the spot.

The staff at Via Cibo further enhances the overall experience. Friendly and attentive, they make sure that each guest feels welcomed and well taken care of. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, the team’s professionalism and warmth create a dining environment that feels both comfortable and special.

It’s clear that Via Cibo is committed to quality and customer satisfaction. They’ve built a reputation for consistently delivering delicious meals in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re swinging by for a quick lunch, gathering with friends for a dinner out, or grabbing something to go, you can count on the fact that you’ll be enjoying some of the best Italian food in the area.

The food was good. Seemed authentic Italian pizza, not typical pizza chain. The pasta was ok. The Italian drink was good, bottle beer was way too expensive.
